IRANIAN President Masoud Pezeshkian during his visit to Pakistan on Tuesday called for a united front of Muslim nations and building a new regional security architecture. From leadership-level meetings to delegation discussions involving civilian and military leadership, both sides have demonstrated a seriousness of intent to stabilize and expand the relationship. During a joint press conference along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Pezeshkian himself noted the constructive discussions held with Pakistan’s top leadership, emphasizing shared aspirations for regional stability and closer bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in turn, underscored the emotional and historical depth of the relationship. Perhaps more importantly, both leaders articulated a shared vision that goes beyond rhetoric.
