ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) on Thursday appointed Mohammad Nadeem Khan as its interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a period of 14 days, effective July 2, the company announced in a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Khan succeeds Hatem Mohamed Bamatraf, who has stepped down as the company’s chief executive. Currently serving as the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) of the PTCL Group, which includes PTCL and Ufone 4G, Khan brings nearly 30 years of professional experience to the role. He has been associated with the PTCL Group for the past two decades and has played a key role in the company’s financial management and business growth. In addition to his responsibilities at PTCL, Khan serves on the Board of Directors of U Microfinance Bank Limited. In 2023, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) appointed him to its Accounting Standards Board for a four-year term, where he contributes to the development and implementation of accounting standards and international financial reporting practices in Pakistan.
