Passport Home Delivery Service starts in Pakistan via Courier

KARACHI – No more waiting in long queues or making a second visit to passport office, as Pakistan officially launched passport home delivery service, allowing citizens to get their passports at their doorstep through an official courier service after completing the application process. The new service has been introduced by the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports in partnership with TCS, which will now serve as the department’s official courier partner. The announcement was made during a meeting between DG Immigration & Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa and TCS CEO Hassan Raza Laghari, where both sides formalized the agreement aimed at making passport services more accessible and convenient. At time of submission of passport application, applicants can now simply opt for home delivery. Once the passport is ready, it will be dispatched through TCS and delivered directly to the address provided, eliminating the need to return to the passport office for collection. Officials said the initiative is to make process faster, safer, and more citizen-friendly, while reducing long queues and saving applicants valuable time and travel costs. The launch is part of the government’s broader efforts to modernize public services under the reforms introduced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. It also follows the earlier decision to make passport offices cashless, another step aimed at improving transparency and efficiency.
