ISLAMABAD – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed an additional 30 percent regulatory duty on the commercial import of used vehicles, with effect from July 1 (today), 2026. The decision was notified through SRO 1065(I)/2026, issued under sub-section (3) of Section 18 of the Customs Act, 1969. The new notification supersedes SRO 1898(I)/2025. According to the notification, the additional regulatory duty will apply to used vehicles classified under Pakistan Customs Tariff (PCT) Headings 8702, 8703 and 8704 of the First Schedule to the Customs Act. The duty covers used vehicles imported under clause (xvi) of Serial No. 10 in Appendix-C of the Import Policy Order, 2022, subject to the conditions laid down in the policy. The FBR stated that the newly imposed 30 percent regulatory duty will be charged in addition to the regulatory duty already imposed under SRO 1064(I)/2026, issued on June 30, 2026.
