Eufy’s Omni C28 is almost half off for Prime Day. | Photo by Jennifer Pattison Tuohy / The Verge If you’re in the market for a robot vacuum, Amazon Prime Day has brought a ton of discounts that we’re tracking, but the Eufy Omni C28 is one of the best deals we’ve spotted so far. It’s a great robot vacuum and mop hybrid that offers a number of flagship features without the flagship price. Right now, it’s down to a new low price of $449.99 ($350 off) at Amazon. Eufy Omni C28 Where to Buy: $799.99 $449.99 at Amazon $799.99 $449.99 at Eufy (with code WS24C28200NEW) In her testing, our smart home reviewer Jennifer Pattison Tuohy remarked that she was impressed by how well the Eufy navigates and maneuvers for a roller-mop bot. It easily climbed over the legs of her lounger, which is something that bigger, pricier competitors she’s tested often struggle to do. It also did a great job cleaning along edges and corners, while its relatively narrow design allowed it to squeeze into tight spaces, making it especially well-suited for apartments. Just be sure to clear your floors before sending it out to clean. It lacks a camera like a lot of other robovacs at this price point, which is nice if you’re concerned about privacy, but it results in so-so obstacle detection. Importantly, the robovac is an excellent cleaning machine, picking up dried oatmeal and debris from carpet while its dual spiral roller brushes stayed free of tangles after a week of mopping and vacuuming hard floors and rugs. What’s also impressive is that the C28 can largely take care of itself thanks to its multifunction dock, a feature typically reserved for more expensive robot vacuums. The dock can automatically wash the mop roller with hot water and dry it with hot air, reducing the amount of upkeep required.
