KARACHI – A forensic examination of the mobile phone belonging to Anmol alias Pinky, who was arrested on charges of drug trafficking, has uncovered more than 100GB of data, investigators said on Tuesday. The sources said that the forensic report prepared by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has been submitted to the investigating officer. The findings come as authorities continue to probe the allegations against Anmol alias Pinky and examine the recovered data for potential links to financial transactions and other activities under investigation. The report stated that more than 100GB of data was recovered from the device, including approximately 75,000 photographs and other images. Sources said the recovered material includes screenshots of online transactions and bank deposit slips allegedly related to payments received from clients. Investigators also retrieved more than 13,000 contacts from the phone, while an analysis of the device revealed around 42,000 call logs. According to sources, the suspect was using two WhatsApp accounts on the same mobile phone. The digital evidence recovered from the device is expected to play a key role in the ongoing investigation.
