At least 11 people lost their lives, and several others were injured in rain-related mishaps across Pakistan during the past two days. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the worst-hit province, where seven people lost their lives, and 19 others were injured after heavy rainfall, strong winds, and flash floods caused the collapse of roofs and walls of houses. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), those killed included two men, four children, and one woman. The PDMA said that 38 houses were damaged overall due to heavy rains and flash floods, with 36 houses partially damaged, while two homes were destroyed. In Punjab, two people were killed and nine others injured during the last 24 hours after walls and roofs collapsed due to rain and strong winds. According to the Rescue 1122, two people died in Attock after a wall collapsed during intense winds and rain, while three others were injured. One person was injured in Khushab after being struck by lightning, while another person was injured in Sargodha when a signboard fell during strong winds and rainfall. In Balochistan, two members of the same family were killed and three others injured due to heavy rains in Zhob district. According to officials, the incident occurred in the Akakhel area of New Abadi in Zhob city. Heavy stormy rains hit Zhob and its surrounding areas, causing the roof of a room in a house to collapse. Officials said that a woman and two children from the family were injured in the incident. The injured were shifted to Zhob for medical treatment.
