LAHORE – Several famous cars and SUVs struggle to gain attention, sitting quietly in dealerships despite big expectations from manufacturers. The recent data shows diverse trend as Pakistan automotive industry shows recovery, with sizeable increase in both production and sales for the first ten months of 2025-26 fiscal year. According to the latest industry data, total passenger car sales jumped to 127,042 units, a staggering 52% increase compared to the 83,401 units sold during the same period last year. Suzuki Every has effectively replaced the veteran Bolan. The Every recorded 6,661 sales this year, while the Bolan’s production and sales have been phased out. The 1300cc and above category, a key indicator of middle-class purchasing power, saw cumulative sales rise to 66,997 units, up from 40,369 in the previous year. Toyota Corolla, Yaris led the segment with 30,496 units sold, maintaining its reputation for reliability. Honda City and Civic followed with 19,870 units, showing a strong recovery in the executive sedan space. Suzuki Swift also recorded a sharp increase, with sales more than doubling to 13,752 units.
