ASF official deployed at Islamabad airport dies after gunshot from his own weapon

ISLAMABAD – An official of the Airport Security Force (ASF) lost his life after an alleged gunshot fired from his own official weapon at the Islamabad International Airport. Zeeshan Akhtar, who was deployed at tower number 4 at the airport seriously injured after the bullet wounds. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have launched an investigation into the matter. ASF has been mandated with the task of providing security to all Civil Aviation Airports of Pakistan. Currently ASF is securing 25 operational Airports (12 International and 13 Domestic Airports). ASF ensures security of Aircrafts, Passengers, their luggage, mail along with proper conduct of persons and vehicles within the limits of airports and aerodromes.
