An Iranian official has announced that the funeral procession of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei—who was martyred in US-Israeli strikes at the end of February—will pass through Iraq before reaching Iran for burial. According to a video broadcast by state media, Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani said the farewell ceremonies and funeral rites are scheduled to take place between July 4 and July 9.
