The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) serves as the primary law enforcement body tasked with ensuring peace, security, and the maintenance of public order in Pakistan’s federal capital. The force is responsible for protecting a population of more than 2.5 million residents, while also providing security to key federal institutions, 84 foreign diplomatic missions, and visiting international delegations. In addition, ICTP plays a vital role in safeguarding commercial areas across the city and facilitating the safe and efficient movement of thousands of daily commuters. The organization functions under the Central Police Office (CPO), which is structured into five main divisions: Operations, Security, Law and Order, Safe City, and Logistics. These divisions collectively oversee frontline policing, administrative and resource management, strategic security planning, and the operation of Islamabad’s advanced surveillance and monitoring systems.
