Reuters reported on June 23 that Jamendo has sued NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) in California federal court on Monday for the alleged misuse of its data and music to train audio-related AI systems. Jamendo, a music company owned by Winamp Group and based in Luxembourg, said in the lawsuit that NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) copied "hundreds of thousands of audio files and related metadata from its platform" to train Fugatto, which is an AI audio generator, and Audio Flamingo, an AI language model that describes sound. Reuters stated that spokespeople for NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the lawsuit on Tuesday.
