LAHORE – The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several areas of Lahore and surrounding regions on June 17 due to maintenance and repair work on electricity transmission lines. According to the official notification, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in multiple grid stations as part of routine maintenance operations aimed at improving the reliability of the power distribution system. The affected areas include feeders under various grid stations such as Bhai Pheru, Chuhng, EMCO, Ghazi, Kahna, Khanqah Dogran, Momanpura, Qila Star Shah, Makkah Colony, Sarfraz Nagar, Shalamar, Sukh Chayn, Gajju Matta, Liaqatabad, and New Kot Lakhpat. Under the Bhai Pheru Grid Station, feeders including BBJ and Manga Mandi 1 and 3 will face outages, while Chuhng Grid Station feeders such as New Chuhng, Shahkam, and ICC Textile are also included. Similarly, EMCO Grid Station areas like Kot Abdul Malik, Madina Glass, and Starlet will experience suspension of power supply. Other affected areas include industrial and residential feeders under Kahna, Sarfraz Nagar, Shalamar, and several adjoining localities, where maintenance work will be carried out during the scheduled time. LESCO has urged consumers to plan accordingly and cooperate during the maintenance activity, which aims to ensure a more stable and efficient electricity distribution system. The company also highlighted energy conservation messages under its campaign, encouraging citizens to save electricity for personal and national benefit. Officials said the shutdown is temporary and power supply will be restored immediately after completion of maintenance work.
