Lahore High Court revised Eid-ul-Azha holiday schedule for Punjab, adding an extra day to the previously announced break from May 26 (Tuesday). The updated notification extends Eid holidays from May 26 to May 28, instead of the earlier two-day schedule. The change has been made to facilitate staff and the public, and it applies uniformly across all benches and subordinate courts in the province under the approval of the Chief Justice. The judiciary calendar initially declared only May 27 and May 28 as holidays. However, in a fresh revision aimed at facilitating both court staff and litigants, May 26 has now been added as an additional holiday, effectively giving the judicial system a three-day Eid break. The updated schedule will apply uniformly across the entire judicial structure of Punjab, including the Principal Seat of the Lahore High Court in Lahore, as well as its all allied benches in Bahawalpur, Multan, and Rawalpindi. Furthermore, all civil and session courts (lower judiciary) across Punjab will remain closed under this revised holiday plan. The notification mentioned that the decision has been issued with approval of the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, and it formally amends the earlier calendar notification dated December 23, 2025, which had set the original holiday schedule.
