Punjab’s e-Khidmat Markaz initiative serves 10.5 million citizens

More than 10.5 million people across Punjab have availed services from the 15 e-Khidmat Markaz, which continued to serve as one-stop facilitation centres for public service delivery. These centres collectively offer over 170 government services under a single roof, helping citizens avoid lengthy queues and reducing delays in processing. So far, more than 1.816 million people have used postal services, over 1.328 million have received domicile certificates, and more than 1.22 million have obtained driving licences through these facilities. In addition, around 1.177 million citizens benefited from NADRA e-Sahulat services, while over one million accessed various CNIC-related services. The e-Khidmat Marakaz also provide a wide range of additional facilities, including issuance of birth, death, marriage, divorce and character certificates, driving licences (learner and permanent), vehicle registration and transfer, token tax payments, land record (Fard) services, route permits, e-stamp papers, arms licences, and other citizen facilitation services. During a performance review meeting, Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board Faisal Yousaf said the rising number of users reflects growing public confidence in the initiative. He added that the e-Khidmat Marakaz have also achieved a key milestone by securing ISO 9001:2015 certification, highlighting their focus on quality management and efficient service delivery. He further noted that efforts are ongoing to expand these centres and improve their operational capacity to make public services more accessible and efficient for citizens.
