Former prime minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan for a brief visit as the party gears up for the upcoming June 7 elections. General elections in the region are scheduled for June 7, after a four-month delay attributed to harsh winter weather. Nawaz reached Gilgit on a one-day visit to meet with party ticket holders contesting the polls.
