His name returned to various charts, surged up many important tallies, and quite a few of his decades-old singles suddenly became hits on lists that did not exist, or which were compiled in very different manners, when he was a current hitmaker. Sales of many of his albums and songs jumped, but it is on streaming charts where Jackson's presence has been felt like never before.

Of course, streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, iHeartRadio and others did not exist during the '70s, '80s and '90s – Jackson's heyday – and by the time many of them became the go-to way for millions of people to consume the music they love, the King of Pop had already passed away. The masses have turned to these websites and apps to consume Jackson's most beloved works in the past month or so, and the singer manages a very impressive feat (especially for a legacy act) on multiple tallies in America.
