Poland envoy lauds Pak’s mediation role, highlights expanding strategic coop While commending Pakistan’s emerging diplomatic role on the global stage, Ambassador of Poland Mr Maciej Pisarski on Tuesday paid tributes to Islamabad’s mediation efforts in the ongoing US-Iran negotiations. “The Islamabad Process” has already contributed to de-escalation in the region and offered renewed hope for peaceful diplomacy in a turbulent world,” he said while addressing a reception to celebrate Poland’s National Day, commemorating the historic Third of May Constitution. The event brought together a large number of diplomats, members of civil society, officials of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Armed Forces of Pakistan, parliamentarians and members of business community and academia. Addressing the gathering, the Polish ambassador said Pakistan had stepped forward at a critical moment to facilitate dialogue among concerned parties in the Middle East, adding that Poland sincerely hoped for the success of the peace initiative being led by Islamabad. Reflecting on his four-and-a-half-year diplomatic tenure in Pakistan, Ambassador Pisarski described his stay as a journey filled with “unique moments, exceptional encounters and unforeseen experiences” that transformed both his personal and professional life. Accompanied by his wife, he said the couple had explored the cultural richness, natural beauty and historical depth of Pakistan, visiting vibrant cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Gilgit, discovering what he called the unmatched hospitality and cultural delights of the Pakistani people.
