ISLAMABAD – The newly appointed Islamabad Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan assumed charge and pledged a strict, zero-tolerance crackdown on traffic lawbreakers across the capital. Shortly after taking office, she reviewed traffic management operations with senior officials and directed enhanced enforcement against key violations to improve road discipline and public safety in Islamabad. She chaired a high-level meeting with all zonal DSPs, where traffic regulation, enforcement mechanisms, and public service delivery were reviewed in detail with a clear focus on improving discipline and operational efficiency across the city. During the meeting, CTO made it clear that ensuring smooth traffic flow, strengthening road discipline, and providing better travel facilities to citizens remain the foremost priorities of the Islamabad Traffic Police. She stressed that traffic law enforcement must be made more effective and that indiscriminate action should be taken against all violators without exception, signaling a zero-tolerance approach toward negligence on roads.
