LAHORE – Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has ordered the removal of all double source connections for consumers within a week. The LESCO chief executive officer (CEO) issued directive following a fatal accident in Mustafabad area, where a lineman lost his life due to a double source connection when he was working on a line. The move applies to both government and private residential areas, aiming to prevent similar deadly incidents in the future. Following the Mustafabad accident, eight officials were suspended, and LESCO CEO has warned that Xens and SDOs will be removed from their positions if any further incidents are linked to double source connections.
