KARACHI – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said Pakistan is confronting complex internal and external security challenges, alleging that its eastern neighbour, India, has turned to proxy elements after what he described as its defeat in last year’s conflict. Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Navy Academy in Karachi, the prime minister said Pakistan continues to face externally backed terrorism, particularly along its western borders.
