The couple was ambushed on the road, where unknown armed attackers opened fire at close range. The intensity and proximity of the gunfire proved fatal, killing both on the spot. Police confirmed that the deceased were legally married. The woman had been the subject of a kidnapping case registered at Sachal Police Station on the complaint of her family. However, the couple had been living together after their love marriage and appeared in court today for bail proceedings. The court reviewed the nikah (marriage) documents and arguments presented, after which it dismissed the kidnapping case against the husband and acquitted him with honor. Moments after leaving Malir Court and heading back towards the Sachal area, their vehicle was intercepted.
