Ghalibaf says Beirut attack shows US unable to deliver on promises

Iranian leaders have sharply criticised recent Israeli strikes in Beirut, saying the attacks highlight the United States’ inability to uphold its commitments while stressing that regional peace cannot be achieved without Iran’s involvement. Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said the Israeli attacks on Beirut’s Dahiyeh district once again demonstrated that the US either lacks the determination or the capacity to honour its promises. Araghchi said lasting security in the region cannot be achieved by sidelining Iran, stressing that sustainable peace, economic progress, and long-term stability depend on cooperation, mutual understanding, and recognition of shared interests among all countries in the region, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
