BANNU – At least seven people were killed and three others injured in an explosion in the Marka Bera area of Bannu, police said. District Police Officer (DPO) Yasir Afridi said the blast targeted a passenger van and a vehicle. He said the van was travelling from Hathi Khel village towards Bannu when it came under attack. According to the DPO, five people travelling in the van and two passengers in the other vehicle were killed in the explosion. He said the bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital.
