Pakistan’s cement industry recorded solid growth during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, driven by stronger domestic demand despite a slight decline in exports. According to the data shared by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) on Friday, local cement sales rose by 9.5 per cent, climbing from 37.906 million tonnes in FY2024-25 to 41.507 million tonnes in FY2025-26. However, export volumes fell by 2.19 per cent to 9.008 million tonnes, compared to 9.210 million tonnes in the previous fiscal year. Overall, total cement dispatches increased by 7.21 per cent, reaching 50.515 million tonnes against 47.116 million tonnes a year earlier. In June 2026 alone, total cement dispatches surged 18.38 per cent to 4.331 million tonnes, compared with 3.658 million tonnes in June 2025. Domestic sales posted a sharp 26.78 per cent increase, rising to 3.541 million tonnes from 2.793 million tonnes, while exports dropped 8.73 per cent to 789,840 tonnes from 865,387 tonnes. Region-wise, cement mills in northern Pakistan dispatched 3.019 million tonnes in June, marking a 16.39 per cent increase from 2.594 million tonnes in the same month last year. Southern mills recorded dispatches of 1.31 million tonnes, up 23.23 per cent from 1.065 million tonnes in June 2025. Domestic dispatches by northern mills reached 3.019 million tonnes in June, reflecting a 26.53 per cent rise from 2.386 million tonnes last year. Southern mills sold 522,021 tonnes locally, up 28.24 per cent compared to 407,069 tonnes during the same period. No exports were recorded from northern mills in June 2026, while southern-based manufacturers increased overseas shipments by 20.12 per cent, exporting 789,840 tonnes compared with 657,527 tonnes in June last year. For the full fiscal year, Northern Mills sold 34.720 million tonnes in the domestic market, an increase of 10.83 per cent over 31.329 million tonnes in FY2024-25.
