KARACHI – Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt landed in trouble amid a serious kidnapping and financial crime investigation. As allegations surfaced linking him to an abduction case involving alleged crypto and bank fraud, the matter shifted from police files to courtroom headlines. A case was registered involving the alleged kidnapping of a citizen identified as Mutaal Khan, triggering a dramatic courtroom response. After his name emerged during the investigation, Butt moved the court to avoid arrest and successfully got relief in pre-arrest bail, with the court ordering him to submit surety bonds of Rs1Lac. The court also summoned the investigating officer and the state prosecutor for further proceedings. The defense strongly rejected the allegations, insisting that Muneeb Butt is completely innocent. His lawyer argued that the accusations are baseless, highlighting that the FIR was reportedly filed with a one-day delay without explanation, and noting that despite securing protective bail from the Islamabad High Court, police allegedly continue to conduct raids at his residence. The prosecution presented chilling account of events. According to investigators, on April 22, while the victim was allegedly heading to the airport, he was reportedly intercepted by armed individuals and forcibly taken into a vehicle. The victim was then allegedly moved against his will as part of a coordinated abduction. The prosecution claims that the abductors carried out a digital financial crime spree during the ordeal. They allegedly accessed the victim’s crypto account and bank account, transferring funds into unknown destinations. The stolen amount reportedly includes $8,600 and over Rs. 2.4 million. Even more alarming, it is alleged that the suspects forced the victim to unlock his laptop and mobile phone, after which sensitive data was deleted. The victim was later reportedly abandoned in the Korangi Industrial Area before the suspects fled the scene. During the ongoing investigation, t
