LAHORE – Summer vacations have finally started across Punjab’s colleges, bringing excitement and relief for students amid scorching heat in the region. While campuses will stay closed until August, the academic journey isn’t completely on pause as BS (Hons) classes and exams will continue according to university schedules, keeping many students balancing both summer vibes and studies together. A notification shared from Higher Education Department said colleges will remain closed from 22 May 2026 to 22 August 2026 and will reopen on Monday, 24 August 2026. Meanwhile, BS 4-year programs and examinations will continue according to the university and board schedules. Summer vacations have also begun in all public and private educational schools across the region. According to the Education Department, schools in Punjab will reopen on 24 August. According to the Education Authority, it is the responsibility of all educational institutions to fully implement the orders regarding summer vacations. Officials have clearly stated that strict action will be taken against institutions that violate the orders by conducting exams or keeping schools open.
