Iran Rejects Trump Warning, Vows Strong Response to Any Attack

Iran’s Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has brushed aside recent US warnings, declaring that Tehran is fully prepared to retaliate if confronted militarily. In a post on X, he said American pressure tactics have failed to weaken Iran, arguing that Washington’s current position reflects its own desperation. He stressed that Iran does not take US threats seriously. Ghalibaf further warned that the US should be cautious in its rhetoric, adding that Iran’s armed forces stand ready to respond decisively. “No matter what they say, it is we who will take action,” he said. The remarks came after US President Donald Trump threatened renewed military action against Iran unless Tehran reins in what he described as Iranian-backed groups in Lebanon, amid continued Israeli strikes on Hezbollah positions despite an existing ceasefire.
