Punjab opens registration for online auction of premium vehicle numbers

The registration process for July’s online auction of premium vehicle registration numbers has officially started through the digital e-Auction App and Web Portal. The Punjab Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has developed the platform in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board. Citizens interested in obtaining special vehicle registration numbers can complete their online registration by July 31 to take part in the auction and bid for their preferred numbers. The e-Auction platform covers registration numbers for motorcycles, private cars, and commercial vehicles. To maintain transparency, information regarding successful bidders will also be publicly available through the e-Auction application, allowing participants to track auction outcomes openly. Commenting on the initiative, Faisal Yousaf said the digital platform allows citizens to bid for their desired vehicle registration numbers through a secure, transparent, and user-friendly online system. He added that the use of digital technology has streamlined the entire auction process, making it more efficient, accessible, and transparent for the public.
