NEW YORK – A US federal court has released an alleged suicide note linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, reigniting public scrutiny over the circumstances surrounding his death. Judge Kenneth Karas ordered the disclosure of the document, which is described as Epstein’s purported handwritten suicide note. The note reportedly reads: “It’s a special thing to be able to choose the time of one’s own goodbye.” The note was reportedly recovered from Epstein’s former cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, a former police officer who is currently serving multiple life sentences in separate murder convictions. Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell in August 2019. While authorities ruled the death a suicide, it has continued to generate widespread speculation and conspiracy theories. The document was released after a request from a US newspaper. The court said the material formed part of a criminal case record and therefore falls under public disclosure rules. Nicholas Tartaglione is serving four life sentences in connection with drug-related murder cases. Gigi Hadid responds after her name appears in Epstein files
