LAHORE – Bank of Punjab Junior National Tennis Championship 2026 displayed series of impressive performances as young players battled for titles in various age categories at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy, Lahore. The tournament, organized by the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association, featured some of the country’s most promising junior players, who showcased their skills in highly competitive matches. In Boys Under-18 final, M. Yahya captured the championship after defeating Hamza Ali Rizwan 6-3, 6-1. Hajra Sohail claimed the Girls Under-18 title with a dominant 6-3, 6-0 victory over Bismal Zia. Shayan Afridi emerged victorious in the Boys Under-14 category, overcoming M. Muaz 4-2, 4-0. Hajra Sohail continued her excellent form by securing her second title of the tournament in the Girls Under-14 event, defeating Khadija Khalil 4-2, 4-1. Boys Under-14 doubles crown went to M. Muaz and M. Aayan, who outplayed Daniyal Abdullah and Ahmad Fareed Yawar 4-2, 4-1 in the final. In Under-12 singles competition, M. Aayan defeated M. Faizan 4-2, 4-2 to lift the boys’ title. The Girls Under-12 final saw Shahnoor Umer edge past Eman Shahbaz in a closely contested match, winning 4-2, 1-4, 4-1. Salaar Khan and M. Faizan secured the Boys Under-12 doubles championship with a convincing 4-0, 4-1 victory over Riyan Omer Khalil and M. Daniyal. Mustafa Zia delivered a commanding performance in the Under-10 final, defeating Wali Abdullah 6-0 to clinch the title. The concluding matches were attended by Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Tariq Qureshi and Syed Rehan of the Bank of Punjab, who graced the occasion as chief guests. Tournament Director Rashid Malik was also present. The championship once again highlighted the growing depth of junior tennis talent in Pakistan and provided a valuable platform for young players to gain experience and prepare for future national and international competitions.
