Pakistan has urged both Iran and the United States to exercise restraint and pursue dialogue for resolving the issues. Speaking at the weekly briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan remains hopeful about Iran-US negotiations despite being aware of the challenges facing the process. He also noted that the Commander of the Lebanese Army recently visited Pakistan, describing the trip as an important development in bilateral relations. Responding to India’s position regarding Pakistan-administered Kashmir, he said Pakistan rejects such statements. He stated India makes such remarks to divert attention from human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir, while Pakistan is addressing matters in accordance with its constitution and laws. The Foreign Office also reacted strongly to a statement by an Indian minister regarding the suspension of water supplies to Pakistan. Tahir Andrabi warned that such actions could threaten peace in South Asia and said India would bear responsibility if the situation deteriorates.
