NADRA issues advisory on collection of ID Cards

ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advised citizens to collect their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) from designated offices as soon as they are issued, after the completion of the processing period. According to the policy, if a CNIC is not collected within three months after the delivery deadline, it will be destroyed. In such cases, applicants will be required to submit a fresh application along with the applicable fee to obtain a new card. NADRA has also encouraged citizens to use the Pak ID mobile application or select home delivery service while applying for a CNIC at NADRA offices. Through this facility, citizens can receive their identity cards directly at their registered address without visiting an office. The authority urged applicants to ensure timely collection of their identity documents and make use of available digital services for greater convenience. CNIC Fee, Processing TIme NADRA has shared details of processing fees and delivery timelines for various Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) services under normal, urgent and executive categories. According to the details, applicants seeking a new CNIC can obtain the document free of cost under the normal category, with delivery expected within 15 days. Under the urgent category, the processing fee is Rs1,150 with an estimated delivery time of 12 days, while the executive category costs Rs2,150 and offers delivery within six days. For CNIC modification, duplicate CNIC and CNIC renewal services, the normal processing fee has been set at Rs400 with a delivery period of 15 days. Applicants opting for urgent processing for these services will have to pay Rs1,150 and can expect delivery within 12 days. Meanwhile, executive processing is available for Rs2,150 with an estimated completion time of six days.
