Ableton is letting musicians build browser-style extensions for Live

But now with its Extensions SDK, features can be added to Ableton Live with common Java Script. Where Max is largely limited to MIDI and audio processing, Extensions can touch almost any part of the DAW simply by right-clicking within your Live set.
