Genesis is already racing in the Hypercar class at Le Mans, but this concept proves it has broader motorsport plans.

Genesis has been on a roll with its production cars (we named the G90 our 2023 Motor Trend Car of the Year), and the Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury division has jumped deep into the global motorsports pool this season with its GMR-001 Hypercar that’s competing in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship—including this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans in France. Now, on the eve of the endurance classic that begins on Saturday afternoon, the brand has officially revealed its Genesis Magma GT3 concept, a car based on the Magma GT roadgoing supercar concept it pulled the wraps off of last November.

The unveiling of the Magma GT3 concept comes with the famed Circuit de la Sarthe in the background, the venue being home to international sports car racing’s biggest event and making it a predictable place for this reveal. If you haven’t paid attention until now, the two factory GMR-001s finished 15th and 17th in the Hypercar class in the season-opening round at the Imola circuit in Italy after one car encountered a sensor problem and the other took a dice roll on strategy.
