Expected maximum temperatures in major Pakistani cities today amid heatwave

LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released the latest temperature forecast for major cities across the country, showing continued hot weather conditions on June 29, 2026. According to the PMD forecast, Faisalabad is expected to record the highest maximum temperature among listed cities at 44°C, while Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Peshawar are likely to experience temperatures of up to 42°C. Islamabad is forecast to see a maximum temperature of 41°C, with a minimum of 28°C. Karachi is expected to remain comparatively cooler with a maximum temperature of 35°C and a minimum of 29°C. Other city forecasts show Hyderabad reaching 38°C, Muzaffarabad 39°C, Gilgit and Quetta 40°C, and Chitral 39°C.
