Vulnerable individuals were allegedly targeted from backward regions of southern Punjab, including Rahim Yar Khan and D.G Khan, and were lured into selling their kidneys for relatively small payments. The organs were then allegedly transferred through illegal channels and sold for significantly higher profits. Authorities have not yet released detailed forensic findings, but the probe is described as expanding rapidly as investigators trace financial records, patient data, and possible links to external networks. After sealing the facility, authorities also seized medical records and equipment for evidence collection.
