PM Shehbaz thanks MBS for support as two sides discuss Next Phase of US-Iran Peace Talks

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday, as two leaders discussed next phase of US-Iran peace process and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing dialogue and diplomacy. The premier thanked Saudi leadership for its support of peace efforts and also reviewed the state of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, with both sides expressing a desire to further strengthen economic cooperation and regional stability. During the phone call, PM thanked Saudi crown prince for the Kingdom’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s peace efforts and congratulated him on the signing of the historic Islamabad Peace Deal. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s leadership and Saudi Arabia’s consistent commitment to regional peace and stability had played an important role throughout the recent crisis, helping advance efforts aimed at securing a peaceful outcome, PM said. During the conversation, the two leaders agreed that the next phase of negotiations should remain anchored in dialogue and diplomacy. They also underscored the need for continued vigilance against any attempts to derail or undermine the peace process.
