In his artist statement, the Melbourne-based artist said he spent time with Ken — who is also a finalist in this year's Wynne Prize — at her studio Tjala Arts in Amata, in the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands of South Australia.
