Since its 1976 debut, the Cadillac Seville's mission has been to win back some of the Americans who, in increasing numbers, were buying imported luxury cars. The approach was simple. Mainstream Cadillacs were big, flashy, and soft. So Cadillac made the Seville smaller, more subtle, and tauter.
