These 2 stocks could be big winners from the next generation of AI chips Published Mon, Jun 22 202611:36 AM EDTUpdated 11 Min Ago Alexa Lo Monaco@in/alexa-lomonaco/Every weekday, the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer holds a "Morning Meeting" livestream at 10:20 a.m. ET. Here's a recap of Monday's key moments. 1. Stocks were mixed Monday as investors assessed the latest developments in the Iran war negotiations and awaited the release of key inflation data later this week. West Texas Intermediate crude fell below $75 a barrel after reports that U.S. and Iranian officials had agreed on a framework to reach a final deal within 60 days, easing concerns about disruptions to global energy supplies. Despite the decline in oil, Treasury yields moved higher, with the benchmark 10-year yield climbing back to roughly 4.5%. Jeff Marks, director of portfolio analysis for the Club, said lower energy prices should help ease inflation pressures and could reduce the likelihood of additional Federal Reserve rate hikes later this year. 2. Shares of Club holding Intel gained 3% Monday as semiconductor stocks outperformed the broader market. The move comes after Intel announced Thursday that Seok-Hee Lee will join the company as executive vice president of its foundry business. Lee, a semiconductor industry veteran who previously held leadership roles at battery producer SK On and memory-chip maker SK Hynix — both subsidiaries of South Korea's SK Group — will oversee advanced packaging, system integration, and manufacturing operations. Jeff said the hire reinforces the Club's bullish view on Intel's turnaround and the long-term potential of its foundry business. He noted that "there's a major opportunity" in advanced packaging, an increasingly critical part of semiconductor production as AI chips become more powerful and complex. 3. Club name Qnity rose about 2% Monday, extending the stock's gain to more than 100% this year. Jeff said the company is benefiting from a major shift in semiconductor design, as chipmakers increasingly stack components to boost performance rather than simply shrinking transistors. That trend requires more specialized materials, creating a tailwind for Qnity's business. Jeff also noted that the stock remains relatively underfollowed on Wall Street, with fewer than 10 analysts covering the company, leaving room for greater investor interest over time.
