The event, described by Lahore’s Deputy Commissioner Ali Ijaz as a joint celebration between the district administration and citizens, is being held in tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces, with public participation encouraged. Lahore Traffic Update However, the festive atmosphere quickly turned into severe urban disruption as the shutdown triggered massive traffic congestion across the city’s key arteries. Areas including Cavalry Ground, Kalma Chowk Underpass, and the vicinity of Qaddafi Stadium have been hit by intense gridlock, leaving commuters stranded in long delays and slow-moving traffic queues. Authorities urged masses to avoid affected corridors and adopt alternate routes, warning that congestion is likely to persist until the conclusion of the event activities at Liberty Chowk. Earlier today, Lahore Traffic Police shared traffic advisory and implemented a special management plan for the celebrations in the city’s central zone.
