Why this matters: local context for readers following news across Pakistan and the region.

KARACHI – A westerly weather system expected to bring rain to parts of Pakistan is likely to enter Pakistan tomorrow (Tuesday), prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a three-day weather outlook for Karachi. The Early Warning Centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted that Karachi may experience occasional strong winds today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday). However, overall weather conditions are expected to remain hot and humid over the next three days in Karachi. The department forecast that maximum temperatures in Karachi will likely range between 35°C and 37°C, while humidity levels may rise above 65%, increasing the intensity of the heat felt by residents. The officials said that most areas of Sindh will continue to experience hot to very hot and dry weather conditions under the prevailing atmospheric pattern. The Met Office added that while the incoming westerly system may bring weather changes to some parts of the country, Karachi is expected to remain largely under hot and humid conditions throughout the forecast period.
