An important personality of Pakistan is likely to visit Tehran soon during which the completion of the final draft for the US-Iran peace deal could be announced. Reports said serious efforts are underway to finalize the draft of a potential agreement between the two sides to end the Middle East conflict that has disrupted global energy supplies. Reports from Arab media indicate that a senior Pakistani official may visit Iran soon. The next round of negotiations is expected to take place in Islamabad after the Hajj season. A day earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made his second significant visit to Tehran within 24 hours to meet with Iranian leadership regarding the ongoing talks. Earlier, Naqvi had held meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Chief Negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Following his Tehran visit, Naqvi traveled directly to Balochistan, where he met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and COAS & CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir. Iran Reviews US Proposal Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that Tehran has received new proposals from the United States, which are currently under review. The negotiations between Iran and the US are ongoing through Pakistani intermediaries. Baghai emphasized that Iran’s demands reflect its rights, including the removal of US sanctions. He added that the U.S. must demonstrate goodwill and halt “maritime piracy” against Iranian vessels.
