Azma praises CM Maryam over renovation of historic bazaars

Punjab Minister for Information Azma Bokhari on Friday shared a video on social media platform X show-casing the renovated appearance of Lahore’s historic Ichhra Bazaar and praised Chief Minis-ter Maryam Nawaz Sha-rif for her development vision and performance. In her statement, she said that the people of Punjab take pride in Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz because of her practical performance and commitment to public welfare. She said Maryam Nawaz deserved appreciation for trans-forming the province within a short span of time. Expressing admiration for the newly renovated Ichhra Bazaar, the minister remarked, “MashaAllah! The new look of Ichhra Bazaar makes me want to visit it myself.” Azma Bokhari said beautification and development projects were progressing rap idly not only in Lahore but across all cities of Punjab under the special directives of the Chief Minister. Referring to projects in Lahore’s Anarkali Bazaar, Faisalabad’s Ghanta Ghar Bazaar and Rawalpindi’s Raja Bazaar, she said these historic commercial centres had been transformed into visually appealing markets equipped with modern facilities matching international standards. The provincial minister said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz envisioned making every city in Punjab as beautiful, modern and well-facilitated as Lahore. She added that the ongoing projects were not only restoring the aesthetic appeal of ur-ban centres but were also contributing to the promotion of commercial activities across the province.
