While the Knicks made headlines for their record-breaking gameplay, one famous fan made headlines for her latest fashion statement: Taylor Swift, whose courtside style is blowing up on social media. Swift was a surprise attendee at Madison Square Garden, alongside friends and frequent collaborators Este and Alana Haim. But for less crafty fans, another user theorized that Swift just created a new online market. “What was that sound?” they asked. “I think it was a million Etsy shops opening at once.” Indeed, a search for “Stevie Knicks” on Etsy already returns dozens of results for recreations of Swift’s shirt—many of which even use a picture of Swift at last night’s game as their feature image. Swift’s shirt even caught on within the game itself: Seated next to Swift was Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay, who changed from a black top into a “Stevie Knicks” shirt during the game.
