Rain and strong winds with isolated hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Friday night and Saturday, with occasional breaks. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has also warned of isolated heavy rains in eastern Balochistan and southern Punjab during the forecast period. Synoptic Situation The PMD said a westerly weather system is currently influencing the upper and central parts of the country, while moisture from the Arabian Sea is entering central and southern regions. At the same time, a seasonal low-pressure area remains active over western Balochistan and adjoining areas. Forecast Under these weather conditions, intermittent rain and gusty winds with isolated hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, northern/northeastern Balochistan, and upper Sindh. Heavy rainfall is also expected at isolated places in eastern Balochistan and southern Punjab. Impacts The PMD cautioned that strong winds, lightning, and hail could damage vulnerable infrastructure, including solar panels, electricity poles, and roadside billboards. Temperature Outlook Daytime temperatures in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C on Saturday, rising slightly to 34°C to 36°C on Sunday. Past Weather During the last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in South / Central Punjab, Upper / Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan.
