KARACHI – Sindh government on Friday officially announced public holidays for Eid-ul-Azha, declaring total of four days of closure across the province. According to the notification issued by the provincial government, all government offices and institutions in Sindh will remain closed from 26 May to 29 May on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The decision confirms a four-day holiday period to facilitate celebrations of one of the most significant Islamic festivals in the country. Two days back, the federal government also issued its own notification regarding Eid holidays. As per the Cabinet Division, the federal government declared Eid-ul-Adha holidays from 26 May to 28 May, marking three official days of closure at the national level. With both federal and provincial announcements now issued, citizens across Pakistan will observe Eid-ul-Adha holidays starting from 26 May, with Sindh extending the break by an additional day compared to the federal schedule.
