Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic management plan for the 8th Muharram procession to facilitate smooth movement of traffic and guide citizens during the event. According to the traffic advisory, the procession will begin from House No. 28-A, Sector G-7/3-4 near Inquiry Stop. The procession will proceed through Seventh Avenue Bridge and Lal Quarters before concluding at Imambargah G-6/2. Traffic Diversions Traffic diversions will be implemented at several locations during the procession. These include Potohar Plaza, Fazal Haq Road, Street No. 224 G-6, Iqbal Hall, Seventh Avenue Loop, Service Road near Post Office, and the Fazal Haq Road U-turn. Alternative Routes Authorities have suggested alternative routes for commuters to avoid inconvenience. Residents of G-7 travelling towards G-6 and Blue Area have been advised to use Jinnah Avenue and Fazal Haq Road. People from G-6 heading towards Super Market F-6 can use the China Chowk Underpass. Citizens travelling from Sector G-7 towards Daman-e-Koh and Margalla Road can use Seventh Avenue, while Jinnah Avenue and Faisal Avenue will also remain available as alternative routes. Islamabad Traffic Police has requested citizens to cooperate with traffic arrangements and use alternate roads during the procession. Participants attending the procession have also been advised to park their vehicles and motorcycles at designated parking areas.
