ISLAMABAD – Authorities have asked the motorway users to replace their old M-Tags for vehicles before May 31, 2026 to avoid additional replacement charges. The replacement process is currently being offered free of charge for tags that are more than five years old. According to the notice, motorists using outdated M-Tags must switch to the latest “One Country One Tag” system to continue smooth travel on motorways. The announcement also warns users about increasing replacement charges after the deadline. M-Tag New Fee from June 2026 Starting June 1, motorists who fail to replace their M-Tags within the free window will be required to pay a replacement fee of Rs150. From July 1, old M-Tags will reportedly be blocked completely, while the replacement fee will rise to Rs300.
